Our Story

Founders Jasmine and Justin have been around dogs all of their lives. Jasmine grew up with a white boxer named Capone, and Justin grew up with a collie named Tawnie and a white lab and German shepherd mix named Buddy.

In late 2015, a French bulldog came into Jasmine and Justin’s lives and they decided to name him Neptune. It was around this same time that they learned about a number of dog rescue organizations in San Francisco and the Bay Area. This led to discovering many more rescues across the country.

Animal rescue organizations mostly rely on donations of money, supplies, and time. The pair would read story after story about dogs needing immediate medical attention and having exorbitant vet bills, or dogs being abandoned by their owners who were surrendered to such rescues that need to find a new forever home or foster family. Jasmine and Justin would donate when they could but felt like it was never enough. They wanted to do more for these dogs. They felt they needed to make a bigger impact and recognized that they couldn't do it on their own.

Having a creative design background, Justin was looking for a way to be creative while helping dogs. Jasmine thought dog collars and leashes would be perfect. It was in that conversation that Neptune & Co. was born.
